How do I grade a test that a student has left 'in progress'?
A student taking a test may fail to submit their attempt, only save it, leaving it ‘in progress’. The student will not be able to see their score and feedback for the test until you manually submit the attempt.
Step 1: Go to Control Panel > Grade Centre > Full Grade Centre.
Step 2: Locate the Grade Centre column for the test, and click the chevron in the cell containing the attempt which displays the ‘in progress’ icon.
Step 3: Select View Grade Details from the contextual menu.
Step 4: On the Grade Details page, click View Attempts.
Step 5: On the Grade Test page, ensure the answers were saved.
Step 6: Click Test Information to expand the section.
Step 7: If you are satisfied with the student’s test attempt, click Submit Attempt.
Step 8: Click OK to confirm the attempt submission.
Step 9: On the Grade Test page, click Submit. The student’s score will replace the ‘in progress’ icon in the Grade Centre cell, and any calculated totals with automatically update. The student will also see any feedback that you have chosen to make available.
